My little sweetheart Indy lived
from 1989-2001. She had a rough life with chronic pancreatitis
which at the time I didn't realize it, and just thought was a
"nervous stomach", because she was nervous dog. She went
champion in 1991, mostly due to her effort and love of showing
herself. I did very little except present her at the shows. She
did most of the work. When I retired her, I had her fixed because
of problems with phantom pregnancies and inability to raise the
puppies properly if she rejected them. Indy was a beautiful
dog and I loved her dearly and miss her dearly. In the end, I am
filled with regrets to this day, because I wonder if I did
everything humanly possible to help her with her pancreatitis
before putting her to sleep. Near the end, the pancreatitis caused
her to lose weight and become dehydrated so many times. She would
only eat spaghetti with a little bit of sauce on it, but from now
I know, she was not absorbing nutrients, but I didn't know this at
the time. In closing, I would like to say that Indy was a
sweetheart, and I hope she is happy. I love you Indy, and will
always love you!
