Maili passed on Christmas Eve 2004 from liver failure; only 6 months after her initial diabetes diagnosis. Her liver problem was totally unforeseen and happened so fast we weren't even given a chance to diagnose and treat her. The six years we were blessed to have her in our lives was not enough; we never want her to be forgotten.
